Skiing at the Kronplatz
Beginners, experienced skiers and ambitious skiers – all love the Kronplatz ski area in equal measure, not least because of the variety of ski slopes with varying levels of difficulty. Tomorrow’s skiers can weave down the beginner slopes with experienced ski instructors, freestylers. Snowboarders are well placed in the Kronplatz Snowpark with its lines, while the professionals among you can tackle the steep black slopes.
Snowshoeing & cross-country skiing
Away from the hectic ski slopes of the Kronplatz, there are numerous winter hiking trails. Here, snowbound landscape meets winter tranquillity. If you decide to go on a winter hike with snowshoes, you can also via slightly off the beaten track and immerse yourself in the magical, pristine nature while taking in the unforgettable panorama of the Dolomites. If you like cross country skiing, you can expect many trails both in the valley and on various plateaus.

Challenging tour for experienced hikers with summit cross and panoramic view and subsequent stop in one of the many huts.
Snowshoe hike Lutterkopf ⬌ 11.5 km ⬍ 650 m ⊘ 4 h:
On this winter hike the two panoramic peaks, the Lutterkopf and the Durakopf, are within relatively easy reach.

On this fantastic winter tour, which is a relatively easy walk, you will feel like you are in a winter fairy tale.
Winter Panorama Trail Kronplatz ⬌ 1.2 km ⬍ 200 m ⊘ 45 min:
As the name suggests, you can enjoy a breath-taking panorama of the Dolomites and the Pustertal on this easy tour.
Winter hike Steinzger Alm ⬌ 4 km ⬍ 250 m ⊘ 1.5 h:
Above the frozen Lake Anterselva, stop off at this cosy hut after a pleasant hike through the snow-covered landscape.
Winter hike Fanes Alm ⬌ 5.5 km ⬍ 500 m ⊘ 2 h:
After a moderate ascent, you hike on the ridge to the alpine pasture, amidst fantastic and snow-covered mountain scenery.
Tobogganing & ice skating rink Gais
What would a winter holiday in the South Tyrolean mountains be without tobogganing? There are countless toboggan runs around Gais to look forward to. You are welcome to hire the toboggan from us. If you want to make the blades glow, you can try out ice skating on the nearby ice rink in Gais. Floodlights also make this possible in the evening.
